Elf is a 2003 Christmas movie directed by Jon Favreau and starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, and Mary Steenburgen. It is often considered one of the best Christmas movies of all time.
[00:00:30] In this episode, I'm covering Elf, which is a 2003 Christmas movie directed by Jon Favreau and starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Joey Deschanel, and Mary Steenburgen.
[00:00:48] This is one of those Christmas classics. I remember when it first was announced and they threw in the trailers, everyone, at least when, or I was, because I was in high school when it came out.
[00:01:04] I think I was a freshman when it came out. And I remember when it first came out, everyone was like, oh, is this another stupid Will Ferrell comedy? And you just ignore it.
[00:01:13] And yeah, for the most part, I did at first. And then when it came to VHS, because that's how long ago it was, my family watched it and it was really good.
[00:01:32] And so I've watched it almost every year since then. And it's become like, almost like a tradition.
[00:01:40] I, up until a certain point, I actually didn't watch it for a few years. And I kind of, like, I didn't like fully forget about it, obviously, because like every Christmas it comes out.
[00:01:52] Well, I mean, like, everyone talks about it. I said it's a Christmas classic. Everyone loves it now.
[00:01:58] And so, like, I sort of forgot about it. It's just, I haven't really watched it.
[00:02:07] But basically, if you somehow don't know what this movie is about, Will Ferrell plays, uh, well, he plays an elf.
[00:02:20] Well, kind of. He's a human. He was, it starts, the movie starts with a baby in an orphanage.
[00:02:29] Santa Claus, Santa comes and was doing the whole tree thing, eating the cookies.
[00:02:37] And then the baby leaves the crib and goes, uh, sneaks into his bag, Santa Claus's bag.
[00:02:46] And I guess he just never looks into the bag again, ever, until he gets home.
[00:02:52] I mean, gets to the North Pole. And then he's like, he steps out and he's like,
[00:02:56] Hey, I'm back, elves. And then they turn around like, oh, there's a baby in the bag.
[00:03:04] How did that get in there?
[00:03:07] And then instead of, you know, taking it back, they named Buddy and just kept them.
[00:03:18] Um, they also just somehow knew that it was from that specific orphanage.
[00:03:28] Because they were immediately like, oh, he must have slept in, slept in at the orphanage.
[00:03:33] And then, yeah, it, uh, if you knew, why did, I, I don't know, I have so many questions about this movie.
[00:03:47] And I, I want there to be like a spinoff sequel thing talking about how, uh, actually I'll come back to that.
[00:03:54] Because I have an idea for a podcast that I don't want to do.
[00:03:59] I don't want to do a podcast like this that I have an idea for.
[00:04:02] But I want someone else to do it.
[00:04:04] Because I would not, I know for a fact I would not be good at it.
[00:04:08] I will come back to that.
[00:04:09] But anyway, so Buddy grows up thinking he's an elf.
[00:04:15] Even though it never occurs to him that maybe he's not.
[00:04:18] Because, you know, the elves are really small.
[00:04:22] They're like little hobbits except smaller.
[00:04:25] And Buddy is, you know, a human.
[00:04:27] And he's human size.
[00:04:29] And he's big.
[00:04:31] And then they, they have, um, there's like a montage of him doing like elf things.
[00:04:37] Like taking a shower.
[00:04:39] And he's like not fitting in the shower.
[00:04:43] And he's like falling off the bed.
[00:04:46] Like I'm surprised the bed even held, held him?
[00:04:50] Holds him.
[00:04:51] And so at one point his quote unquote father.
[00:05:00] Who was, you know, his, uh, adopted father.
[00:05:06] Papa Elf.
[00:05:07] Played by Bob Newhart.
[00:05:10] Uh, he tells him, hey, I need to tell you something.
[00:05:14] I'm not actually your father.
[00:05:22] And Buddy's like, wait, what?
[00:05:25] You're not my father?
[00:05:26] I'm not a real elf?
[00:05:28] And this is why I think they must have done some research into his life or something.
[00:05:37] You know, in, in, in, in universe.
[00:05:39] Not like, oh, for the movie.
[00:05:42] What?
[00:05:42] Because.
[00:05:44] Papa Elf pulls out a photo of Buddy's actual parents.
[00:05:49] It was like, hey, um, the mother died.
[00:05:52] But your father works at the Empire State Building in New York City.
[00:05:58] And it's like, oh, uh, you knew this all along.
[00:06:02] And you didn't, you didn't say or do anything?
[00:06:06] You just kind of kept it to yourself?
[00:06:10] I don't know.
[00:06:11] Um, so, Buddy's immediately like, hey, I'm gonna go to New York.
[00:06:18] I've never left the North Pole.
[00:06:20] What's the worst that kid, yeah, a lot of things happen.
[00:06:24] He, he goes through a bunch of things.
[00:06:30] Ends up in New York City.
[00:06:32] And he, there is kind of a running joke.
[00:06:37] Uh, not a running joke.
[00:06:38] Um, there's a thing that happens three times.
[00:06:41] And it does kind of show the progression of him, like, adapting to the real world.
[00:06:48] Uh, there's this famous shot of him.
[00:06:51] He's, he's going across the street and then he's hit by a taxi.
[00:06:55] That's the first one.
[00:06:57] Uh, the first time he encounters the taxi, he gets hit by it.
[00:07:00] And he's like, oh, sorry.
[00:07:02] And then a little bit later in the film, he goes across the street and he's almost hit by a taxi.
[00:07:09] But he, like, holds up his hand and stops them.
[00:07:12] And then, uh, Buddy, like, still, like, still kind of gets hit.
[00:07:17] Where, like, he doesn't stop in time.
[00:07:19] And he, like, kind of touches him, you know?
[00:07:24] Like, in a way, you know?
[00:07:26] And then the third time he's crossing the street with Zoe Deschanel.
[00:07:30] And then he's, he, like, fully stops it.
[00:07:33] The taxi fully stops before it even comes near them.
[00:07:36] Um, so, like, he goes from the first time he gets hit by the taxi.
[00:07:40] The second one where he almost gets hit.
[00:07:42] And the third time where, like, he's more acclimated to the world.
[00:07:46] And it doesn't hit him at all.
[00:07:48] And he's actually, like, in control of the situation.
[00:07:52] I don't know.
[00:07:53] But, yeah, I don't know.
[00:07:55] I just noticed that this time and thought I would bring it up.
[00:07:58] Um, and so, you know, he crosses the street.
[00:08:05] He tries to meet his father, James Caan.
[00:08:09] And they're like, oh, it's a Christmas gram.
[00:08:14] And obviously James Caan doesn't believe him.
[00:08:16] And he's like, oh, yeah, um, my, uh, my, my mother was this person.
[00:08:23] And she, uh, she died.
[00:08:24] But she didn't tell you that she had a kid.
[00:08:29] And so I've been here the whole time.
[00:08:32] But I was in the North Pole and I'm an elf.
[00:08:34] And, of course, he doesn't believe me.
[00:08:35] He's like, who sent you?
[00:08:36] This is not funny.
[00:08:38] So after a while, and he goes to this, uh, shopping mall?
[00:08:44] No, uh, mall, uh, toy store place.
[00:08:48] And they think he's one of the worker elves that, you know, work there.
[00:08:54] Because there's, like, the North Pole thing with the big Santa.
[00:08:58] And that's the famous scene.
[00:09:01] Santa's coming in the morning.
[00:09:02] Santa!
[00:09:03] I know him!
[00:09:05] And, yeah.
[00:09:08] That's where he was working.
[00:09:10] But they, you know, he wasn't working.
[00:09:12] Which makes me wonder, like, he did, he had a clock in and out.
[00:09:17] But he didn't have any, like, info.
[00:09:19] Like, how did he clock in?
[00:09:20] Did he just show up?
[00:09:21] And they're like, hey, you didn't clock in.
[00:09:23] Uh, it shows him working there for several days.
[00:09:27] Or a few days.
[00:09:28] Oh, no, maybe for one day.
[00:09:30] Because he's like, Santa's coming tomorrow.
[00:09:32] And then when Santa comes, he's like, you're a liar.
[00:09:35] And then, like, fights him.
[00:09:36] And then she gets fired and all that.
[00:09:39] But, until then, it didn't show him clocking in or out.
[00:09:43] And no one even questioned it.
[00:09:44] Like, hey, I don't remember seeing you.
[00:09:46] And that was the boss that spotted him.
[00:09:48] Like, hey, you, come up here.
[00:09:50] What are you doing down here?
[00:09:51] And he would have hired him.
[00:09:54] And he didn't even remember.
[00:09:55] There wasn't a whole lot of elves.
[00:09:57] There were several elves.
[00:09:59] But you'd think he would remember every single person he hired.
[00:10:02] Like, I've never seen you before in my life.
[00:10:04] You're just dressed like an elf.
[00:10:05] And I'm going to assume you work for me.
[00:10:10] So, yeah.
[00:10:12] He meets Joey Deschanel.
[00:10:14] And immediately, she's like, ah, what's your problem?
[00:10:17] Because he wouldn't stop looking at her.
[00:10:18] And he's like, ah.
[00:10:22] Yeah.
[00:10:23] He later explains, like, oh, my tongue swells up when I see you.
[00:10:27] Or something like that.
[00:10:28] He has, like, a huge crush on her.
[00:10:30] And whenever the whole, um, there is a now infamous scene that I always hate watching.
[00:10:48] When she's in the shower.
[00:10:49] And then he comes in.
[00:10:51] And they're singing Baby is Cold Outside.
[00:10:54] Which, that song is creepy on its own.
[00:10:57] Um, I know there's a controversy around that.
[00:10:59] And I know a lot of the older people are like, I don't see how it's so creepy.
[00:11:03] It's, you know, it's, it's been a, it's been a big song forever.
[00:11:07] Like, why is it now becoming, because things are different now.
[00:11:13] And, like, like, hey, what's, uh, say what's in this drink?
[00:11:18] No cares to be hot out there.
[00:11:21] Answer the, answer the question.
[00:11:23] Yep.
[00:11:25] Um, so, that's, there, there's a creepy moment where he's, like, sneaking into the shower room with her singing a creepy song.
[00:11:36] And, yeah, that whole scene didn't age well.
[00:11:39] And she found it charming somehow.
[00:11:43] Because, um, I think in real life, if that happened, she would have, she would have gotten a restraining order right then.
[00:11:53] And, fired, sent to jail, which, later he gets sent to jail with a restraining order, uh, against the store, not her.
[00:12:02] But, yeah.
[00:12:03] She ends up with him at the end.
[00:12:05] I don't understand it.
[00:12:10] But, anyway.
[00:12:13] Eventually, um, whenever he gets arrested, James Caan comes back and builds him out.
[00:12:18] And, they go to do a DNA test.
[00:12:23] You know, one of those quick, um, in and out DNA tests.
[00:12:29] Because that's how that works.
[00:12:34] And, he finds out, oh, you actually are my son.
[00:12:37] Because, um, they had to get that out of the way.
[00:12:42] Because it's like, they didn't do that scene.
[00:12:45] That would have been a plot thing where he was like, how did he, how did he just randomly accept it?
[00:12:52] But, nope, they had to do the unrealistic, instant DNA test.
[00:12:57] At least they didn't do, like, an at-home DNA test.
[00:13:00] That would have been.
[00:13:01] It's like, okay, let me just wait 15 minutes.
[00:13:04] Uh, there's a plus sign.
[00:13:06] We are related.
[00:13:07] Yeah.
[00:13:08] So, it's unrealistic.
[00:13:10] But, they're just trying to get the movie to move along.
[00:13:12] But, I still don't like it.
[00:13:15] Uh, meh.
[00:13:18] And, basically, he just, the whole movie is, he doesn't fit in with the real world.
[00:13:23] And, but then Santa comes and crashes in Central Park.
[00:13:28] And, there's a whole thing involving that.
[00:13:31] No, he runs to Central Park.
[00:13:34] And, who does he run into?
[00:13:36] Out of the millions of people living in L, in, in LA.
[00:13:41] And, all of the millions of people living in New York.
[00:13:43] Who does he run into in the park?
[00:13:47] His father.
[00:13:48] And, his little brother.
[00:13:53] Oh, because, you know, New York City's a small town.
[00:13:57] Everyone knows each other.
[00:13:58] And, you're constantly running into people you know.
[00:14:02] In places that you don't normally hang out.
[00:14:05] Because, that's what happens.
[00:14:10] Okay, I'm just gonna go ahead and, and, talk about the thing I alluded to earlier.
[00:14:16] With the podcast idea.
[00:14:18] Yeah.
[00:14:18] So, I've had this idea for a podcast.
[00:14:22] Where it tells, it's a movie podcast.
[00:14:26] But, it is disguised as a true crime podcast.
[00:14:32] Like, the first thing that comes to mind, obviously.
[00:14:34] Is, you're telling the story of Halloween.
[00:14:36] Like, the movie Halloween.
[00:14:38] Michael Myers.
[00:14:39] And, you're telling it like it's a true crime story.
[00:14:42] I have an idea.
[00:14:47] For an episode on that podcast I just made up.
[00:14:52] About this episode.
[00:14:54] Because.
[00:14:57] A baby just went missing from an orphanage.
[00:15:01] And, I just forget about it?
[00:15:03] No.
[00:15:05] That would have been, like, a mis-
[00:15:07] You would have heard, you would have heard about that on, on True Crime Podcast.
[00:15:14] Like, this baby disappeared from this orphanage.
[00:15:18] And, nobody knows what happened.
[00:15:20] And, the nurse.
[00:15:25] The, no.
[00:15:26] No.
[00:15:26] Uh.
[00:15:27] The person in charge was a lady that, like.
[00:15:31] Was there.
[00:15:32] And, then she left.
[00:15:33] And, then the baby disappeared.
[00:15:34] She would have been investigated.
[00:15:36] She would have been suspected of something.
[00:15:38] Maybe even got in jail.
[00:15:39] I don't know.
[00:15:41] But.
[00:15:42] Yeah.
[00:15:43] That would have been a huge thing.
[00:15:44] And.
[00:15:46] That's why I was saying, like.
[00:15:47] If there's a sequel.
[00:15:48] They need to address that.
[00:15:49] But.
[00:15:50] I would love for this fictional podcast I just made up.
[00:15:54] To cover this.
[00:15:56] Uh.
[00:15:56] Cover the story of Elf.
[00:15:58] But.
[00:16:00] Only the, the aspect of.
[00:16:03] Hey.
[00:16:03] There's a, a missing person story here.
[00:16:05] And.
[00:16:06] It's never.
[00:16:08] Addressed.
[00:16:10] You just kinda.
[00:16:12] Kinda look past it.
[00:16:14] And.
[00:16:15] Yeah.
[00:16:16] I didn't really think about it till this time watching.
[00:16:18] Cause before.
[00:16:19] Cause it's just.
[00:16:19] It's just a scene.
[00:16:20] It's like.
[00:16:20] Oh.
[00:16:20] They need to get them to the North Pole somehow.
[00:16:22] This time I'm watching it.
[00:16:23] I'm like.
[00:16:24] Wait a second.
[00:16:26] There.
[00:16:29] Okay.
[00:16:30] Um.
[00:16:31] He's a missing person.
[00:16:32] And if.
[00:16:33] Oh.
[00:16:34] Okay.
[00:16:34] So.
[00:16:35] There's a.
[00:16:36] Will Ferrell has repeatedly.
[00:16:39] Refused to do.
[00:16:40] Elf 2.
[00:16:41] Which.
[00:16:42] Good.
[00:16:43] Because.
[00:16:44] It doesn't need a sequel.
[00:16:45] But.
[00:16:46] If they did.
[00:16:48] They need to address this.
[00:16:50] And have it be like.
[00:16:51] Oh.
[00:16:52] You know that.
[00:16:52] Missing.
[00:16:53] Have like a.
[00:16:54] I'm talking about.
[00:16:55] There's like.
[00:16:56] It would be part of a true crime podcast.
[00:16:58] Where.
[00:16:58] It's like.
[00:16:59] There's this baby that went missing from this orphanage.
[00:17:01] 30 years ago.
[00:17:03] And.
[00:17:04] Buddy's like.
[00:17:05] Oh.
[00:17:06] Wait.
[00:17:06] I think that was me.
[00:17:08] And he's like.
[00:17:09] Hey.
[00:17:09] Yeah.
[00:17:10] It was me.
[00:17:10] Where have you been?
[00:17:11] I've been in the North Pole.
[00:17:13] No.
[00:17:13] Really.
[00:17:13] Where have you been?
[00:17:15] He was in the North Pole.
[00:17:17] Uh.
[00:17:19] Yeah.
[00:17:20] See.
[00:17:20] Maybe that wouldn't work.
[00:17:25] I think it's best to leave this one alone.
[00:17:27] Don't do a sequel.
[00:17:30] But I would like.
[00:17:31] Someone.
[00:17:33] To do that.
[00:17:34] Podcast idea.
[00:17:36] Because.
[00:17:37] I'm just kind of throwing it out there.
[00:17:39] And.
[00:17:41] I want someone to do it.
[00:17:42] I'm not going to do it.
[00:17:43] Because I know.
[00:17:44] Because.
[00:17:46] In order for it to be really good.
[00:17:47] You have to treat it like a serious true crime podcast.
[00:17:51] Not like.
[00:17:52] Oh.
[00:17:53] This is a true crime podcast.
[00:17:54] Ha ha ha.
[00:17:55] No.
[00:17:58] Treat it like a true crime podcast.
[00:18:00] But discussing movies.
[00:18:02] And.
[00:18:02] It doesn't even have to just be like Halloween.
[00:18:04] Or like.
[00:18:04] Missing baby.
[00:18:05] An elf.
[00:18:06] Do you like.
[00:18:07] Tell the story of Ocean's Eleven.
[00:18:11] Or.
[00:18:11] You know.
[00:18:12] There's a whole bunch.
[00:18:13] Of movies.
[00:18:14] I've been thinking about this for a few years.
[00:18:17] It's like.
[00:18:18] This could be.
[00:18:19] A good true crime story.
[00:18:21] If you.
[00:18:22] You know.
[00:18:22] Look at it from a certain perspective.
[00:18:24] Like.
[00:18:24] These different movies.
[00:18:26] And.
[00:18:26] Like.
[00:18:29] Even like.
[00:18:29] The story of like.
[00:18:31] Nightmare on Elm Street.
[00:18:32] Like.
[00:18:33] Obviously.
[00:18:34] Like.
[00:18:34] The public isn't going to believe.
[00:18:36] Freddy Krueger.
[00:18:37] So.
[00:18:38] There's this mystery.
[00:18:40] In this town.
[00:18:41] Where.
[00:18:42] Kids just.
[00:18:43] Keep.
[00:18:43] You know.
[00:18:44] They keep.
[00:18:44] Dying.
[00:18:45] Dying.
[00:18:46] And nobody knows why.
[00:18:47] And they keep dying.
[00:18:49] In like.
[00:18:50] Very.
[00:18:50] Violent.
[00:18:51] Fashions.
[00:18:53] And.
[00:18:54] Sometimes very graphic.
[00:18:56] And nobody can explain why.
[00:18:59] And you know.
[00:19:00] There's.
[00:19:00] There's a rumor going around.
[00:19:01] That.
[00:19:02] You know.
[00:19:03] They fall asleep.
[00:19:04] And then they.
[00:19:05] They die very brutally.
[00:19:07] But.
[00:19:07] You know.
[00:19:08] That's.
[00:19:10] That's.
[00:19:11] That's ridiculous.
[00:19:12] So.
[00:19:12] There has to be some explanation.
[00:19:14] Or something.
[00:19:14] Like.
[00:19:15] Okay.
[00:19:15] In that case.
[00:19:17] I was going to say.
[00:19:18] Maybe that would have to be like.
[00:19:19] A supernatural.
[00:19:20] But no.
[00:19:20] No.
[00:19:22] Trying to keep it grounded.
[00:19:23] Because if it was a supernatural podcast.
[00:19:24] It's like.
[00:19:25] Maybe there's a ghost doing it.
[00:19:26] Because.
[00:19:27] You know.
[00:19:27] This.
[00:19:28] Is.
[00:19:28] It's kind of.
[00:19:29] It's like a fantasy element.
[00:19:30] Sticking with the true crime element.
[00:19:32] And be like.
[00:19:33] Maybe there's a serial killer running around.
[00:19:36] I.
[00:19:36] I don't know.
[00:19:37] How that would work.
[00:19:37] But like.
[00:19:38] You just.
[00:19:39] You know what I mean.
[00:19:40] There's so many.
[00:19:42] Ways.
[00:19:42] You could.
[00:19:43] Use.
[00:19:44] That.
[00:19:45] And.
[00:19:45] I would really.
[00:19:46] Want.
[00:19:47] Someone to do it.
[00:19:48] And about.
[00:19:49] Like.
[00:19:49] Take it seriously.
[00:19:50] You know.
[00:19:50] Not like a wink wink.
[00:19:51] Not.
[00:19:52] Haha.
[00:19:52] This isn't.
[00:19:53] This is.
[00:19:53] This is funny.
[00:19:54] Or.
[00:19:55] Like.
[00:19:56] I know she wouldn't.
[00:19:58] Do.
[00:19:59] This.
[00:19:59] I.
[00:20:00] I don't know.
[00:20:00] Unless she would like.
[00:20:01] I want a break.
[00:20:02] From her.
[00:20:03] Serious true crime.
[00:20:04] Shows.
[00:20:05] But like.
[00:20:05] Imagine someone like.
[00:20:07] Delia D'Ambra.
[00:20:09] Doing.
[00:20:11] This podcast.
[00:20:12] The.
[00:20:13] True crime movie podcast.
[00:20:16] And.
[00:20:17] It's like.
[00:20:17] Her voice.
[00:20:20] Telling these stories.
[00:20:21] Of like.
[00:20:21] Michael Myers.
[00:20:22] The night Michael Myers.
[00:20:23] Terrorized.
[00:20:24] Terrorized.
[00:20:25] This.
[00:20:25] This.
[00:20:26] Neighborhood.
[00:20:27] Like.
[00:20:28] That would.
[00:20:29] That would be hilarious.
[00:20:30] But.
[00:20:31] I think it would be really good.
[00:20:32] I want this now.
[00:20:33] I mean.
[00:20:34] I've been wanting it for years.
[00:20:35] Since I've been thinking about it.
[00:20:36] But I haven't told anybody.
[00:20:37] And now I am.
[00:20:39] Saying it in this.
[00:20:41] Episode.
[00:20:42] About.
[00:20:42] Elf.
[00:20:45] I don't think it fits.
[00:20:46] I am keeping it in.
[00:20:48] Anyway.
[00:20:50] Elf.
[00:20:51] Is currently streaming.
[00:20:52] On.
[00:20:52] Hulu.
[00:20:53] And.
[00:20:53] Max.
[00:20:54] Max.
[00:20:55] I watched it on.
[00:20:56] Max.
[00:20:57] And.
[00:20:57] I don't know if it was my TV.
[00:20:59] Or.
[00:21:00] Max itself.
[00:21:01] But the volume was really low.
[00:21:05] And.
[00:21:05] So I had to turn it up really loud.
[00:21:07] Like.
[00:21:07] That was weird.
[00:21:09] I don't know why I did that.
[00:21:11] I.
[00:21:12] I watched.
[00:21:13] This movie.
[00:21:14] And.
[00:21:15] Next episode's movie.
[00:21:16] Back to back.
[00:21:18] And.
[00:21:18] Both of them were really low.
[00:21:21] So.
[00:21:22] I don't know.
[00:21:23] Again.
[00:21:23] I don't know if it was my TV.
[00:21:25] Or.
[00:21:25] Max itself.
[00:21:27] And.
[00:21:28] Yeah.
[00:21:29] So like.
[00:21:29] Okay.
[00:21:29] So for example.
[00:21:30] I normally keep my TV.
[00:21:32] Normal volume for me.
[00:21:33] It's.
[00:21:34] 15.
[00:21:35] And.
[00:21:36] Sometimes.
[00:21:38] I'll have to turn it up to like.
[00:21:39] 20.
[00:21:40] 25.
[00:21:42] For.
[00:21:43] For.
[00:21:44] Elf.
[00:21:44] And the next movie.
[00:21:45] I had to turn it up to 35.
[00:21:48] Which I never turn it up that high.
[00:21:51] So.
[00:21:52] Again.
[00:21:53] I don't know if that was Max.
[00:21:54] I barely use Max anymore.
[00:21:56] Because like I said.
[00:21:58] Like everything's on.
[00:21:58] Hulu and Max.
[00:21:59] I did the bundle.
[00:22:01] There's a Disney plus Hulu Max bundle.
[00:22:03] And I did it.
[00:22:04] And I think they're taking that bundle to heart.
[00:22:07] Because a lot of things that are streaming on Hulu.
[00:22:09] Are streaming on Max.
[00:22:11] And.
[00:22:12] Like.
[00:22:13] This movie and the next movie.
[00:22:14] Are on.
[00:22:15] HBO.
[00:22:16] Are on.
[00:22:16] They're on Hulu and Max.
[00:22:18] And since I hardly use Max.
[00:22:20] I decided to watch them both on Max.
[00:22:22] I was like.
[00:22:23] Yeah.
[00:22:23] Let's give.
[00:22:24] You know.
[00:22:24] I'm paying for it.
[00:22:25] Why not use it.
[00:22:26] And then I was like.
[00:22:26] Oh.
[00:22:26] I had to turn our way up.
[00:22:28] Okay.
[00:22:28] That's.
[00:22:29] That's fun.
[00:22:31] But.
[00:22:31] Yeah.
[00:22:31] I'm going to end it here.
[00:22:33] And.
[00:22:33] I'm going to record.
[00:22:35] Since I watch both movies back to back.
[00:22:37] I'm going to stop recording.
[00:22:38] Edit it.
[00:22:39] And then start recording the next episode.
[00:22:42] Yeah.
[00:22:43] This is a real behind the scenes.
[00:22:45] Moment here.
[00:22:46] Heh.
[00:22:47] So this episode.
[00:22:48] And the next episode.
[00:22:49] I'm recording back to back.
[00:22:50] Just so you know.
[00:22:51] Fun fact.
[00:22:53] And.
[00:22:54] Cut.
[00:22:54] Cut.
