[00:00:37] So basically, while I took a hiatus from The Digressor, I have not taken a hiatus from podcasting.
[00:00:47] I have continued to post on Casabloga, which is my movie podcast.
[00:00:59] And I started Casabloga back in 2022 because I felt that that would be simpler because The Digressor was getting too complicated.
[00:01:13] And if you remember, if you remember, assuming you were a listener back then, whoever you are.
[00:01:25] I took a brief hiatus for like six months at one point in 2022.
[00:01:33] And in that time, I started... I didn't want to stop podcasting altogether.
[00:01:37] So I started Casabloga as a... as an easier podcast.
[00:01:44] You know, shorter episodes, you know, minimal editing, you know, record, quick edit, upload, you know, something like that.
[00:01:54] Casabloga, on the other hand, I would keep it...
[00:01:56] I would try to have them be between 45 minutes and an hour and a half.
[00:02:02] And that's a lot of editing.
[00:02:04] And I started to, you know, try to like up the production value as time went on.
[00:02:12] Like adding background music occasionally.
[00:02:16] And I eventually, you know, I stopped doing that.
[00:02:19] And then on the YouTube version, I would just try to like put like pictures and clips and stuff to go with what I was talking about.
[00:02:27] And I was making, you know, adding more and more work and it was getting more complicated.
[00:02:33] And eventually that's what... that's why I stopped.
[00:02:35] I had kind of a burnout.
[00:02:36] Christmas 2022.
[00:02:38] It wasn't even a full episode.
[00:02:41] Cause you know, the episode...
[00:02:44] The Christmas episodes up till then, I had...
[00:02:48] Basically in 2020 and 2021, I had done a full episode with somebody.
[00:02:55] I had a guest on for the full Christmas episode that day.
[00:03:01] And Christmas 2022, I didn't have anybody to do an episode with.
[00:03:07] I had two episodes to do.
[00:03:10] I had the Christmas episode of Casabloga and the Christmas episode of Digressor.
[00:03:16] And so I just made it like a quick five minute mini-sode.
[00:03:21] And you could tell when you listen to it, I just wanted to get it over with.
[00:03:24] And so it was basically a, hi, I'm just doing something real quick cause it's Christmas.
[00:03:29] Bye.
[00:03:30] And I was done with both podcasts for a while.
[00:03:34] And then I decided to continue Casabloga from June to December.
[00:03:43] And so I didn't have to worry about podcasting for half a year.
[00:03:46] And I really had to worry about it for the second half of the year.
[00:03:51] And I started thinking about it more.
[00:03:53] And I kept...
[00:03:55] I didn't want to just walk away from this podcast.
[00:03:58] I wanted to eventually come back to it.
[00:04:00] But I just...
[00:04:01] I didn't want to go back to the...
[00:04:04] All that work.
[00:04:05] It was too much.
[00:04:06] And I didn't want to do it.
[00:04:07] And I kept thinking, the only way to make this work is to up the ante.
[00:04:12] To like, up the value.
[00:04:15] And like, make it bigger and bigger production.
[00:04:17] And I was trying to get an editor and a co-host.
[00:04:21] And I was trying to make it this big production.
[00:04:24] And every time I started to actually take it seriously and look into it,
[00:04:28] And it just kept stressing me out.
[00:04:29] I was like, I don't...
[00:04:30] I don't want to do that.
[00:04:32] Like, right now.
[00:04:34] And finally I just realized...
[00:04:37] Why?
[00:04:38] Why am I making Digressor such...
[00:04:41] Such an overly complicated thing?
[00:04:44] Because like, with...
[00:04:46] I'm not saying Casabloga is successful.
[00:04:49] I mean, I have...
[00:04:53] Somewhat of an audience.
[00:04:55] Like, each episode gets like maybe 20 listens.

[00:04:58] Hey, that's more than Digressor really ever got.

[00:05:04] To me, it was like, hey, Casabloga is booming.
[00:05:06] I am up to 75 episodes on Casabloga.
[00:05:11] Each episode has 25 episodes.
[00:05:16] And I have a schedule.
[00:05:18] I record in advance.

[00:05:21] Like, I don't mean just like the week before.
[00:05:24] I record usually months in advance.
[00:05:27] And schedule them.

[00:06:34] With Casabloga, I developed methods for scheduling.
[00:06:40] And knowing ahead of time what episodes are going to be.
[00:06:45] Scheduling the full season ahead of time.

[00:06:51] Sticking to a schedule.
[00:06:53] And I have decided with Digressor, that is what I will be doing.
[00:06:58] I will be taking what I learned working on Casabloga.
[00:07:04] And then adapting it to the Digressor.
[00:07:09] Each episode will release on Sundays from January 5th through June 22nd, 2025.

[00:07:24] There's gonna be 13 episodes.
