My original plan was to do my usual improvised Christmas Eve episode with a guest, but our schedules never lined up. It felt weird not at least posting something on Christmas, so here we are. I'll also be taking a short break after this. Think of this as a mid-season finale.
[00:00:00] Good morning, and happy Christmas, I guess. Normally for Christmas, I do a Christmas Eve episode. In 2020, I had my first guest, was my co-worker Sarah, and last year it was my best friend, Emery, who was my guest. And I had plans to have a guest this year.
[00:00:30] But that ended up not working out. Our schedules didn't quite match up. It was going to have to be a Zoom call instead of an in-person one this time. And our schedules didn't work out. And so I tried asking other people, I couldn't find anybody.
[00:00:51] And so for the first time I'm doing a Christmas mini-soad. I'm actually going to do two episodes today. I have this mini-soad on Digressor, and then I have the... I have the Christmas episode of Casablanca on... Well, Casablanca. I covered Love, actually.
[00:01:19] And in that one, I said after I upload this video, and I mean, after I upload this episode and that episode, I will be taking a break. A short two-week break from both podcasts. I actually recorded that this morning and...
[00:01:38] I don't know, it's been kind of a day. I am probably going to take another hiatus from both podcasts indefinitely. I'm not sure how long. Just kind of blah right now, kind of a podcast burnout. I'm sure I'll post again. I don't know.
[00:02:02] I'm thinking about posting a poll on Twitter. But yeah, I'm not sure what else to say on here. I haven't said in an episode yet because it happened after my last episode was recorded. A friend of mine gifted me a brand new PlayStation 5 for Christmas.
[00:02:36] So I have that. That's an exciting update for the podcast. I'm sure I can do... I mean, I literally just did an episode on the Nintendo Switch. I can do an episode on the PlayStation 5. The difference, of course, being that I've had two and a half,
[00:02:54] almost three years of experience with the Switch. And I've had like two weeks with the PS5. So that wouldn't be the same kind of... That'd be a mini-show at this point. So I wouldn't do... I probably do a PlayStation in general episode.
[00:03:15] Because, I don't know, I've done gaming episodes, like my gaming history. And I know I retried a lot of that ground in my Switch episode. Like I said, I wanted to do a gaming podcast. But it's time consuming doing two. I might have to scale back a little.
[00:03:40] For season four of Digressor, I was hoping to expand out and I ended up having to scale back. And now I'm probably going to scale back more. Yeah, this is like I said, this is a short... This is a mini-sode. Of course it's short.
[00:03:57] But at this point it's kind of a tradition to post something at Christmas. It would just feel weird not posting something. So that's why I at least did this. I don't know, I guess consider this like a mid-season finale. Like The Walking Dead does.
[00:04:15] But yeah, both episodes will be posted at the same time. I have this one. And then I already finished editing the Love Actually episode for Casablanca. And I will be posting both as soon as I'm done editing this. So both episodes are available right now.
